Dec 23

OK, today we get serious about Christmas (how good’s that, eh?). It’s a bit grey and drizzly – perfect for a day of shopping. Seems most of Batemans Bay feels the same way. After a fruitless search for a live tree, we settled on a little bargain from the $2 shop and planted in a bucket of river sand. The girls decorated it beautifully, but Tashi spent most of the time (and the rest of the afternoon) learning to play didgeridoo on a roll of wrapping paper.

I went for a stroll and spied a beautiful boat sitting quietly in the river – there are lots of boats of all shapes and sizes around here, but this one particularly caught my eye. I hope her owners take her out during the week – I think she’d look a treat with all her laundry out.

A beautiful schooner (the floating kind...)

Another lovely sunset tonight.

I am usually an aviation or wildlife photographer from Canberra – but also saw the beautiful Vale de Moura at Batemans Bay.

Managed to get a very nice pic of her with an approaching storm and rain.

The name intrigued me so looked it up and it appears to be a place in Portugal.

Might send the pic to Batemans Bay newspaper. Do not know how to attach it or would send to you in high def.

    Regards,

    Bob and Misako Piper. (Canberra).

    P.S. Are you on a yacht ?

P.S. Keep up the good work – site.
